HELP... we spill soup on carpet

Well... my daughter was helping my wife with the takeaway from the chinese takaway and the soup container fell off the chair and onto the floor.

Anyone suggest ways of getting the smell out of the carpet? Or perhaps recommanded a professional in Brisbane to clean the mess and odour?

Find a local shop that uses BG products, ask for a can of Fridgie-Fresh deodorizer

I dont think we have that here in Aus, but thx for reply!

Anyone try carpet dry cleaning service such as electrodry? I wonder if they do a sufficient clean. Car currently smell like a Chinese restaurant at the moment...

I'd recommend finding a place that will steam clean it and remove the front seat to do it properly.

I had a corolla back in the day and my dad borrowed it one day to do some chores. Was in the city a week later parked out in a sun all day and when I came back to the car there was a god awful smell. Turns out he had bought 2 2L bottles of milk and left them behind the driver side seat so they'd been baking in the hot car parked at uni during the day for about an entire week and finally decided to explode.

I took it to a car wash place and they pulled the front seat and steam cleaned it all. He said he couldn't give me a guarantee he could remove the smell but when I got it back it was perfect. If they can get out week old baked spoiled milk then they can get out Chinese takeaway.

This was down in Sydney so unfortunately I can't recommend a place. Of course if and when you/they remove the seat you need to be sure the battery is disconnected until the seat is reinstalled so you don't throw airbag codes.

tbh you need an extractor if you want to do it yourself just go to godfreys and buy a little green. its great for spot cleaning like this,

http://www.godfreys.com.au/bissell-l...able-extractor

here is some results from another forum im in
http://www.detailparadise.com.au/sho...hlight=godfrey

but when you go to buy it ask how much and if its more than 100 just say ill wait till it goes on sale and walk away. if your lucky they just might give it to you for 100 instead of the current price.

the last post in the thread below had a soup spill in the passenger seat and this little machines did a good job

Wet cat food and exploding milk... wow I thought my takeaway soup was bad.

Thanks for all you advise. I will find a good dry clean/steam cleaning place to clean out the mess.
