Gauging Interest - '08 E92 335i M Sport Coupe (Manual)

I am just about to order a new 335d M Sport Coupe company car, so will be selling my beloved 335i M Sport Coupe as soon as the new car arrives (approx 6-8wks).

Its a great car, in superb condition, with a fantastic spec that I don't really want to sell - but needs must.

It was first registered in April 08 so due to be 3yrs old in the coming weeks. It has covered 30,400 miles and has full BMW service history. The last service was carried out about 4 weeks ago.

It will be sold with 12mths MOT/Tax and I will include 12mths BMW Comprehensive warranty which is transferrable to new owner should I get very close to the asking price. (I do have to renew the warranty with BMW before the 27th March though, hence why I'm gauging interest now).

I am currrently running the car on 19in Alufelgen Alloy wheels, but have the original 19in 225M alloys should the buyer prefer them.

335i M-Sport Coupe (Manual)
- Titanium Silver
- Saddle Brown leather
- Pro Sat Nav
- 19in Alufelgen or 225M alloys
- M3 Boot spoiler
- Electric sunroof
- Adaptive headlights
- High beam assist
- Sun protection glass
- Climate windscreen
- Electric rear sunblind
- Bluetooth
- Voice Control
- Logic 7 stereo
- DAB radio
- USB interface
- CD changer
- Heated/elec seats
- F&R parking sensors
- Auto dimming/folding mirrors

Asking Price is £21,500 ono
Please PM any questions

Thanks
Ritchie

Very nice car, for your info my car was sold for 25 grand from dealer , in good condition but not mint, roughly same miles and lesser options than yours.

no doubt your as new condition and full option ,I'm sure you can put the price a little higher.

good luck with the sales!

Lovely looking car, GLWS

Get the big D mapped and you'll soon forget the i

BTW, sell it with the 225's, the Alufelgens will fetch a better sell price

Hideously interested mate, ticks all my boxes (and I'm hard to please), but all depends on whether (or when) mine sells. Certainly keep me in the loop though...

Have you had it since new??

I purchased it in November 2009 from the previous owner who purchased it as an cancelled order/ex demonstrator, hence the high spec.
I am waiting on a delivery date for my new one but expect it to be 8wks, so have time - will keep you posted.

Warranty works includes HPFP, replacement Headlight washer heads, and had some of the BMW badges replaced as they were bubbling up a little. No paintwork in my ownership and none evident prior to this either.

Which wheels are you interested in the 225M's or the Alufelgens?

I would take out the BMW warranty, even if only on a monthly basis, so the new owner can continue it if they want at the much better rate, may cost you £30 a month but could add serious value to the cars worth and desirability.

Massively agree with this. If I were to be buying a used 335i, a continued AUC warranty would definately be a huge positive and would have no problem taking over the monthly payments. You mention you've had HPFP issues, etc, so defo renew on a monthly basis.

I did this a few months ago with the X3 jointly for an easier resale and, well, you never know what might happen in the coming weeks!!!

Cracking car, and I'd imagine a Q forming when that goes on the market.

You're obviously keen to sell too!

I'd agree with Ed on both counts

I couldn't agree more. You have one chance to keep the BMW warranty and it really is not worth missing it for £40-£50 a month.

Hi Guys

I'm planning on taking out the BMW Extended waranty (comprehensive) as I was told it was only transferable if I take out the full 12months and not the rolling monthly option.
I'm pretty sure the 12 months comprehensive warranty will add sufficient value to the purchaser of this sort of car. (so dont worry rogerxp )

No the new 335d will be leased so will be keeping it standard, looks likely that the car will be sold with standard 22M wheels and the Alufelgens sold seperately as suggested by others on here.

Just the opposite, I will be really sad to sell the car, I love it! Would have kept if for the wife but we have a dog so not possible to run 2 coupes.
I'm am also a bit worried about going from Manual petrol to Auto Diesel, but the company is offering a brand new 335d M sport Coupe on a 2yr lease so cannot complain really.
Only reason that I have posted it up here so early is that it took me 3 months to find the right car and I know people on here will appreciate the specification and condition of this so might be prepared to wait until my new one arrives.
I might sell it earlier and run a hire car in between for the right offer.

Thanks
Ritchie

Only the 12 month is transferable, however, I believe you can arrange for the following months to be in the new owners name and not have the 'lapsed warranty' penalty price with the monthly policy.

This isn't true anymore - you can take it out whenever you want now, even if the car has no warranty on it, but you can't claim for 30 days IIRC.

It used to be the case that once it expired you couldnt take it out but this isn't the case now.

It's £540ish for zero excess and emergency service, so I suspect it costs a bit more than if you renew. What was the renewal cost, OP?
