12 weeks?
So my sales agent has always told me that it will take 6-8 weeks to order a car. So i specifically wait until two days ago to order my car to get here end of may at the latest. Well, he calls me and tells me it will take now 12 weeks to get it because they cant get ahold of any cars before production. What is this all about? oh, and its a 328i coupe if that matters.

Not sure about 328's but I ordered a 335 coupe on 3/12 and I will pobably not have it until 2nd week of June. 12-13 weeks

#1...never believe what a car salesman tells you. Research the forum for any information that you may need.
#2...do you have a production #? If you do, that's a plus and BMWNA 800# should be able to tell you what week your car is scheduled for production. If not, the earliest you could expect your car is end of May beginning of June. #3...see #1

Ordered 3/12. Scheduled for production week #19. So around May 7-11.
2 months before production even starts. Delivery mid to late june. I am going to cry. |

WOW !!! That's forever !!
I ordered March 14th - Prod # April 2nd - Buils expected April 30 - Delivery expected JUne 5. At least I have my 330 cic to drive until end of May. |

But believe it or not, I would stick with that dealership because your CA is being honest. There are a lot of stories here about CA's who are either misinformed, not very thorough, or just withholding information. Your situation sucks (having to wait an additional month) but be thankful they telling you the truth and aren't yanking your chain. I'd stick with them. The alternative may be worse!
