Decided to give it a go on PistonHeads.. Looks to be the best value 08 335i M Sport Coupe on there. But still not holding out much hope for a quick sell. Not much selling at the moment.

Here is the link:

I really don't think they are quick selling cars. I'm selling mine at the moment as well and I've had a bit of interest but I get the impression its the sort of car that sits around for perhaps several months before the right buyer comes along.

Wasnt like this just a year ago. I sold my 07 MG ZT privately with the intention of picking up a black or white 335i M Sport Coupe up to two years old with under 20k miles and manual gearbox the same weekend. Every car that came on the market was snapped straight up!! Took me 5 weeks to find the right car through the dealer network.. Was 6 weeks with out a car

I think we have entered another recession, ant there is no money around!! Plus you can pick up a brand new well specced 335i Coupe for around £34k at the moment. It's a buyers market, but I wont give my car away. I simply want to put the proceeds into Lloyds shares while they are at a three year low. If I dont sell, I'm not bothered. If I do I will make enough money to order a new 335i next year or buy my dream DB9.

I had alot of time wasters when trying to sell my 335i earlier this year, but now decided to keep it, and focus on other things. just curious tho, are you going to invest all the proceeds into Lloyds?

my investment in shares has reduced to 50% so thinking maybe investing more and should make a healthy return if invested smartly.

I will probably end up keeping mine too. It does put a smile on my face every time I drive it. Put it on PistonHeads yesterday. Will let it run for a few days. If no interest will start with the mods.. Re-map will be first on the list!!

Yes I will invest all the proceeds into Lloyds shares to bring down my averages. At present I am holding just short of 150,000 shares, most of which were bought at 50p plus. I have scraped together my last £9k the last week or so, buying as low as 30p, but I am still just under £20k down on Lloyds to day!!

If the car sold quickly while Lloyds are still under 40p I'm sure I would make enough profit to order a new 335i in the new year!

Just my 2p but think you'd have better luck selling with original wheels.

Paper loss with no margin wont hurt until you sell and i think you can recover and make money
I have delt Lloyds shares many, many times over the last three years. The cheapest I have bought is 30p. The most I have sold for is 92p. These shares are up and down all the time. Never made a loss on them yet. Yes I will hold untill they reach 60+
Not had much interest in car, so will probably end up keeping it. It's the best car I have ever owned, so I will be happy to keep it for a couple more years

As I posted above, I will include the mint OEM 225M alloys in sale. I think the LM's are much nicer though!

Lol.. Will be great when they do reach 50p+.. Unfortunately they ended the day at just 30p per share, hence wanting to buy more with the car sale!!

I do have a few more shares tied up too.. All way down at the moment.. Had to happen some time.. Looks like I will be holding the lot for a good few months yet.. Wont be logging into my day trading account untill the markets rise!!!

Registered with Lloyds stock broker services way back in 1988. Only ever dabbled with £1k max untill the banks crashed three years ago. Set up a day trading account with just £20k transfered from my high interest saving account. Life savings earning hardly any interest at all!!
Simply took a gamble with crashed bank shares. Was like printing money. Turned £20k into £80k with-in 18 months... BUT getting my hands burnt at the moment with all my money tied up in bank shares that are dropping daily

Yep I do still have the 19" MV4's with Bridgestone runflats. Although one of the rears have a slow puncture caused by glass!!

The wheels are excellent condition, only covered about 12k miles.

These will be included in car sale, but if the car doesnt sell, I will consider selling and use the money to buy a genuine e92 space saver kit (£350) as I have never liked the tyre repair gunk!

No not sold yet. Just a couple of emails from Pistonheads wanting to do PX.

Wouldnt rule out a PX completely because the Missus is looking to buy another car. But only up to around £5k.. She wants a Mk5 Astra coupe or similar, maybe a BMW 1 series!!
