The SSD ones are only 2 LEDs per bulb whereas mine are 4 LEDs per bulb. From personal experience, I have used 3 different bulbs in the past with 2 leds per bulb and wasn't happy. With these i'm very happy with the results. The way the design of the light chamber's on our Pre-LCI E92's is annoying and 2 LED units run the risk of not shinning fully throught the T-shaped chamber. By having 4 LED's you somewhat overcome that problem. My previous LEDs were same wattage (10W) etc but only 2 LED. By putting in 4, i've noticed a marked increased in brightness in the inner ring and the outer ring. Some buyers have left their feedback so please see if it suits you!
