Hey Mo, having read through this thread and seeing the effort you put into this group buy, I gotta take my hat off to you.
Just wondering though if this discount is still available with your contact? I didn't have my car when you organised this but could do with doing the brakes all round reasonably soon... I should point out that I'm not asking you to organise anything! |

Should of looked at this thread earlier. As I've just ordered front and rear yellow stuff pads for my 335i from Amazon (Euro car parts) £181 delivered, so not a bad price.

200 miles now on yellow stuff pads and zimmerman rear blank rotors and zimmerman Z4is front rotors (lighter). So far I'm very happy. Dust is pretty low but I can't accurately compare just yet, squeak is present occasionally under 5mph and mentioned in the notes that it will be reduced after the bedding procedure. Initial bite isn't much different from OEM. It's noticeably better than OEM midway through pedal range, but pedal feel and brake bite is nice and linear through pedal range and no fade. I haven't really got on them yet so I can't speak of the top range in braking or track duty. This all being done in temps 40-70*F.
Bedding recommendation sheet included with brakes is to drive conservatively 200 miles, then bed by doing 5ea 50mph down to 20mph quick decelerations, but not stopping at any point. I also use ECS Tuning stainless brake lines and Motul RBF600 fluid, pressure bled with a power bleeder. Don't forget to take some extra time during the brake pad change to clean your calipers and grease contact points. Pads include one small bag of copper based hi temp grease, but no disc brake quiet compound for the backs of the pads. |

Zimmermann brake components are made in Germany. I got my set here in the USA from ECS Tuning. |
