A little 1 series help...
Guys,
I've posted this over on 1addicts: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=227904 But as there's not much "traffic" over there I wondered if any of you guys/gals had/have a 1er and knew anything about this issue? TIA.

Not had any complaints from my sister regarding hers, nor experienced anything when borrowing it.

Oil being thicker when cold makes the bulk rings harder to mesh, it's not uncommon, my Wife's Focus is bad when cold.

If mine won't easily go into reverse, then just put it in 2nd then quickly back to reverse. Same applies when 1st is sticky in the morning on most manual boxes IMO. |

I don't understand this. Assuming the engine is idling then the lower gears (or at least the syncro hubs thereon) will be easier to engage as they will turning slower on the output shaft?
