Smile Poll: LED license plate lights

We're prototyping and finalizing research and development these new LED license plate lights and need your opinions/ideas/suggestions.

To those with existing RDash 18 LED or no name brand 24 LED version:
  1. Are they too bright for you?
  2. Does the central overcast annoy you?
  3. Do you wish it could be more a of pure white color, less blueish streaks?
  4. Do you want something more affordable?

To those that have stock halogen bulbs or OEM LED license plate lights:
  1. Do you want something that's whiter in color when compared to stock halogen or OEM LED?
  2. Do you want it to be bright enough but not crazy bright as with the RDash or 24 led type?
  3. Do you want something less expensive with a more attractive price?

1. They are stupid bright. I'm worried that NASA may call the police and tell them my license plate #.
2. Overcast is fine. The light dispersal is nice.
3. The color is pretty sweet and euro-tech looking
4. They were stupid expensive weren't they?

Yes, 09+ models come with LEDs. and How about something that doesn't cause error codes on Pre-march 2007 builds?

1. Yes, whiter that is brighter compared to stock.
2. Yes, but I also don't want any "HEY! LOOK AT ME" attention.
3. Something less expensive always helps the budget minded person, but I don't mind paying the extra few bucks for something that will work and last. (I'm a bit hesitant about paying anything that costs ridiculously cheap because I think it won't last long.)

I have the OEM lights and have not upgraded the lights because of price. Seems way too expensive just for LEDs

+1

Completely agree.

I wish they were a tad bit dimmer, because they are so bright that when seen from the rear of the car, the lights bounce of the bumper as if there's lights on the bumper. Kind of hard to explain, but those with RD's should get what I'm saying.

Mike, are you promoting a version that's newer than 1.5/2?

I read in another thread that this is the earliest version you have...
Looks like you're upgrading!

If so, when will the latest version be available?
I am really interested in the "I simply want something whiter and brighter than stock but not too bright" motto

Version? Depends on which product you're referring to...

This is new product with a much improved design. Should be available sometime this month
