Thumbs down ALEX@Alpine: Poor Customer Service

Placed an order for the HID Angel Eye Kit almost 3 weeks ago and seller had been unresponsive to my PMs asking when my item will be shipped immediately after I made the payment.

Took 2.5 weeks to finally ship but still did not provide tracking no.

Finally had to use paypal to help me get this guy to give me my tracking no. Seller responds to paypal within 24hrs after the claim was escalated. Obviously all along he did not give a shit about my PMs asking for the damn tracking no.

Buyers beware! At least if you buy, pay with Paypal so you get protected.

You realize he is one person (hence the Alex@Alpine) who receives hundreds and hundreds of emails and texts hour by hour...

so you got your lights 3 weeks after you ordered and you're still upset?

you realize that he has to custom make these hid kits each time...

Patience is a virtue

+1 Alex and I grabbed a bite not that long ago and he has people calling him at 10, 11, 12 at night! Text messages by the dozen non-stop and emails rolling in by quantities each time his personal cell phone updates his email! He's a great guy, I've stayed under his wing from the begging and to the date and will continue to. Believe me bro, 3 weeks is NOTHING. That's actually pretty fast, considering these are custom made as persian54 stated and having them go out of the country. Now enjoy your kit because I KNOW you love em. Peace.

+2 I bought a kit from Alex as well and normally wouldn't bother adding much to this, but I think for a one man show, he's doing a great job. Not to mention he is working some final tweaks on upcoming products.

AND he let me drive his sick M3

Bought my kit from Alex as well, and had only positive experience. He installed it for me within 20 min, and when I had a minor problem with a dash light couple of days later, he met me the same day and fixed it.

Alex is a one man show and he has to turn his phone off from 12-8 am as people call him at all hours expecting him to be available. He makes each one of these HID kits himself unlike other vendors who get them from outside the country. SOrry you had a bad experience but being a gold sponsor on here with no help is one huge feat.

regardless of how busy he is, when you have a concerned customer that has been trying to contact you for over 2 weeks is a EPIC FAIL... I don't care if he is a 1 man show or not. Good communication with the client is vital for any and all types of businesses.. How much time would it really have taken to send a quick email explaining what ever the situation may have been. Maybe he should look into getting a little part time help with customer service.

I am not trying to say he is a bad guy, I personally have never dealt with him but, if i did i would expect a little quicker response than just sending out the item and all of a sudden "SURPRISE IT'S HERE" 3 weeks later. I do know from this forum that he does do great work and it seems most everyone is very pleased with his product and service.

Personally, whenever I ship anything to canada, it takes about 10 business days, which is roughly 2 weeks....

So, a few days to make the kit, ship it out, takes about 10 bus days.... thus 3 weeks seems suitable timing.

+1 I bought my AEs from Alex, he came to my house, installed them for me, and did it all within an hour. From then on, whatever I've needed (questions, AEs for friends, even two JB3/4 installations) he was spot on and always responded. He's a really nice guy and has great customer service. I'd recommend him to anyone.

Called text pm him but never got a replacement under warranty. Now I'm going to have to purchase a replacement. But I'm going w/ camaross.

Alpine is one of the worst vendor on here IMO. Not the case for other people because its hit or miss everytime you order. Possible that he might send your order next day. But more probable that you will be waiting weeks.

And all the people backing him up, saying he's got a huge load on his back... I think there are mentally challenged people on here. It's common sense to me, I dont see why you guys dont understand. See, when you have a company that sells to the whole US market and beyond, your gonna get a lot of traffic. A lot of orders. A lot of work. So heres an idea. Pay some dudes $10 an hour to help you out.... ? Nobody thought of that? Lol. I doubt Alex is stupid, so he's gotta be extremely greedy then. You guys are right though, it's a two man company (Alex and Leo), and they cant handle the traffic they get from national orders. I will disagree with the OP though. Alex and Leo are honest people though so don't be afraid you'll get scammed. It just takes them a long time to get to it.

So basically it looks like this to me. If you are local, they have great products and are good people to work with. If you order from out of state, expect to get your product in about 3-4 weeks, and bare in mind there's a good chance you wont even get your product and will just get your money back about a month later.

Guys go with Sonic Tuning for HID stuff. I order my bulbs on Saturday, got them today (Tuesday). Same kind of service I get from just about every vendor here.. besides Alpine. Took over a month to get my money back and still no bulbs from them. Alex even said he would send them out, this was two weeks ago. Bunch of liars..

He's a great guy, I had a couple problems with the first set of light fitting and staying on he took them right back took a little while to get the new set but eventually did and they slipped right in and fired right up on our 135. Haven't had an issue yet! Its been 4 months and the kit is so far so good!

Thanks alex
