The 325 is perfect and the sunroof is a must!

I was debating about both, tested both on the track and whilst I felt like I was in a rocket in the 335. For everyday driving the 325 has enough power.

When you're spending this kind of money you wan't to get exactly what your after!

I never test drove a 335 but the spec's speak for themselves. Do you want a cruiser with a bit of zip or a performance car. For me it was about usable power, so I totally agree with the last comment.

The only situation I find myself in occasionally where the 335 would be handy is on country roads where your actually overtaking. The 325 you have to pick your gaps, but I imagine the 335 would be like my old Monaro where you'd just blast past.

The 325 for sure. The sport pack is more than just a set of springs and shocks. If you drive a lot like I do, you appreciate the seats ever so much. Sunroof is also a must for resale. And while on that subject, I think the sports pack also is a big plus for beter resale. Just my opinion

After all - its about the drivability - and the more ponies up front the better the driving experience.

I took a 325 for a spin after the 335, and I was bitterly disappointed.

I wouldn't have even bothered with the sunroof but for it came like that.

Std. the 335 is very nice - mines not optioned at all - stock 18s, stock runflats etc. The only thing it has is the step peddles and a sunroof (waste of time IMO).

That's exactly how I see it, I would not settle for something I was not completely happy with when paying this much money

Although, I would imagine the e9x 325 has more power then mine, but I really never had any problem overtaking on the freeway

I saw a b.red 335 at BMW Sydney's Chatswood dealership and it looked pretty sweet. I would definitely choose it over a 325 any day mainly for the performance factor. To me it is a clear decision I’m quite stunned at why you are still thinking about it, i understand it’s a personal preference thing but DAMN!!!

Sure but consider the original question, it has to be grey interior with light wood. In other words would you sacrifice the nicest colour combination, wheels and a sunroof for a lesser model with everything you desired!

I would have the aural pleasure factor as a massive plus for the 335. Choose whatever your heart wants. I was in a similar situation when i went to look at a Porsche Boxter S and the 335 when i was in the market for purchasing a new car. The Boxter was a demo and was a beauty but i knew that i could order a 335M-Sports with everything i wanted for the same price. 335 won me over in the end.

Ah, someone after my own heart - sunroofs are there to make bald people feel they are alive.

About the choice, I am somewhat biased but ARE YOU MAD! I am not a speed freak either but THAT engine is worth most of the buy price. It is just that good for outright drivability.

Apart from one being a roadster and one being a coupe, they are both sports cars that have great driving dynamics. At the time they were the only two i was interested in even though at heart BMW was always number one.

I find it interesting how opinions on a car can change so much from person to person!

When I was looking for my car, I was initially going to go for the 987 Boxster, but the BMW was going ot be much quicker to get hold of. I thought the Boxster drove incredibly well and I felt like I was "envolved", but with the e9x I just felt more like I was cruising along. I figured I was young, so why not go for the convertible lol.

So true ASTRA. Opinions can be very subjective, situational and conditional and that why manufactures like BMW offer so many choices. Let's face it, every BMW is a great package as a whole regardless of engine size. I personaly think the 325 is a great engine choice when balancing cost to performance. No question the 335 is quicker but with speed limits and traffic the way it is, you hardly get the oportunity to really use it (leagaly or otherwise).

Are you serious. If all you do is drive WOT everywhere then sure - you deserve to lose your licence. There is so much usable power up till 5000RPM in daily traffic.

I often take mine to 7000 in 1st or 2nd in 100km/h roads because it loves it. If going fast is the only thing that matters - get a race car and go offroad.

Try doing the Brooklyn run from Berowra in a 325 then do it in a 335 and tell me what you prefer?
