High Rev to Transmission Malfunction Error

Hi guys,

I recently been experiencing some problems with my 08' 335xi coupe. When cruising, there are times i hear a low scraping sound and feel the vibrations on my pedal. When I do hear that, its followed by a high rev and a transmission malfunction on the dash. My car is basically limp and a drive slowly error comes up. I do see a small puddle of oil underneath my car in my garage lately but i'm not sure which part is leaking. I am running jb4 (usually map 1). Could this be a mechatronic seal problem that I need to replace?

My problem is similar to this thead.

If anyone can give me insight on which part #'s to purchase to fix this problem it'll greatly be appreciated.

Thank you

Its your mechatronic sleeve or transmission pan gasket. Your transmission is slipping because of low atf. Happen to me ,same exact situation, just change both and refill atf.

Bump.. item still persists. Leak is gone after the mechatronic sleeve was fixed. When atf was changed, there werent any particles of metal stuck on the pan, but the oil did seem black and a bit burnt according to the shop
