LSD on an Xi and perf suspension would be nuts.

I think the LSD is really the biggest issue.
Brakes, yeah, if you track it you might actually benefit from them, but if they're already on the 1er, why not bring them as a performance option for the 3er? And I still say they need to bring back the exact Estoril. They've got a color now that's close, but it's still just not the same. A limited run of Estoril for BMW Perf vehicles would be nice. |

How about asking why they can not come up with performance parts that are as effective as the aftermarket ones ? If I could get the same benefits from BMW as the aftermarkets give me I would buy them even if they cost a little bit more and not void my warranty. In general the improvements they offer pale in comparison the the same thing from aftermarket.

YES!! Being able to lower the (and ideally raise for winter use) 335i xDrive without having to worry about ornery stealers having a tweakfest would be huge. It's as if BMW wants to purposely "drive" those of us who want AWD and performance enhancements over to Audi. Haven't chased that dragon yet...but it's getting tempting!

LSD
software that can compete (in either price or performance, just pick one!) I know this isn't entirely related to their division, but they should still know, Why aren't LSD standard or at least apart of a package on non M's? What gives? Goes against the whole 'Ultimate Driving Machine' when you can get them on an Infiniti. |

Some people will say it's so that the track performance gap stays solid on the M3 vs the 335. I dunno.... I think it's because they're pinching pennies. But that's just my personal opinion. |

Questions about BMW Performance Residual Adder
Several questions about the residual adder from another website's interview http://www.bimmerfile.com/2010/01/08...s-eric-riehle/
1. Does the ‘aero kit’ for 135 require just the aero front and side skirts (as it already has the M rear)? 2. For the ‘interior’ it puts the Short Shift Kit and Shift knob as two separate line items, but i was under the impression the SSK included the shift knob. Does that mean you automatically get 2/7 items? 3. I was unable to find non-illuminated doorsills… are those discontinued? 4. The Short shift kit is included in the dynamics and interior ‘packages’ can it therefore be double-counted if installed both? 5. Looks like the 135 cannot be specced with the aluminum strut brace (only carbon) is this correct? is this because it already has the aluminum installed?

Also, why arent all the BMW performance accessories available on the build your own section? I want to put the wheels on and spoilers, etc just like Mini does with the JCW stuff.

i like the idea of a factory perfromance car. sounds just like what MINI did with the JCW line. instead of offering kits that are installed at the dealer, they now offer the JCW models straight from the factory. and as was mentioned earlier, estoril would look nice on this model. then add the performance cloth interior, and you've got a sweet ride.

Performance parts on 135i 2011
Is there gonna be a performance package (326hp/332ft-lb) as there is in the X6 for the N55 135i?
About how much it's gonna be if there is one? Dealer or factory installed? What will be the other available parts for the 135? |
