Ideal Tire Pressure
i tried doing a search but nothing popped up.
does anyone know the ideal tire pressure is for the 2006 325i Type 161 (Front: 17x8 ET34 225/45 R17) (Rear: 17x8.5 ET37 255/40 R17)?

look on your side of your driver side door. it should tell me information about the car n tire. n pressure of the tire should be

I have a 2006 330i. Same question. I referred to the information on the door jam. Only thing is that I typically would have 2 people in the car at most, whereas the information on the door is based on max 4 occupancy.

Off the top of my head I am running 32 psi in the front and 39 psi in the rear which provides a nice balance of handling and fuel economy along with having the car set up with pressure to cruise at 100 mph+.

I usually run 34psi in all my tires.

I was about to ask about the same but since I found this I'll just "attach" my interest to this thread instead.
Today I checked the pressure for the first time since I got the car and to my surprise it was 28F/32R (well actually 1.9bar/2.2bar ). Waaay below the figures on the inside of driver door.... Upped it to 2.2/2.6 (i.e. 32/38 in psi). Now the ride is harsher, of course. I am feeling now everything they did to patch the road this winter I have (by intention) 205/55R16 (ER300 Turanza) because the roads are kind of bumpy over here. Mostly in-town riding, little to no highway for me. Now should I trust the figures inside the door (and get the harder ride) or the dealer (but maybe risk premature wear)?

On my 161s with RFTs I was down to 31 all around. In the winter the tires were too stiff for anything higher. In the summer, I was around 33 all around.

Then I guess there's a sweet spot, definitely not "front equals rear". Even the inside-door label specifies higher rear pressure.

on non RFTs, it's 10% of the curb weight +1/2
I run 36psi in front and 37 in the rear. I've always had great handling and also EXCELLENT tire wear. I check the pressures every weekend and every other weekend usualy add .5-1 psi, depending on tempeture changes and what not. kj |

So for my 325i running stock 16's with conti pro contact non run flats..should I run 32 in the front and 41 in the back??? Thanks I am newbie to this
