repainting trunk lid. paint got damaged...

I took off my carbon fiber spoiler because it was damaged. I looked around and everyone recommended using 3m adhesive remover. I followed the directions and it worked a little too well. it has lifted the paint in some areas. I will be calling around local body shops to get the hood repainted but have a questions first. I have heard and seen stories of over spray. Should i ask them to remove the trunk to paint it(at my expense)? And does it have to be oem bmw paint?

I tired to take pictures but could not capture the damage on camera. I also emailed 3M but not sure what to expect there.
