anDROID root users!

I just recently got into this stuff (droidforum.net) and I'm loving it! I'm running Adams smokedglass rom and overclockd at 1000MHz! Buttery fast and smooth!

Anyone else rooted??

Its to pretty much have full control of your phone.. customizing, running smoother faster.. endless stuff read some stickies under the droid hack subforum if your interested they'll help you out there too

I honestly don't know. If you can put stuff on your sd card or straight to your phone then you should be able to.

There are some ROMs that's you can download through your phone.

I LOVE my Evo sooooo much more since I rooted it. Got CyanogenMOD. Definitely thinking about trying out a few others just to see...

what phone are you using? i have the mytouch 3g and have friends that have rooted, is it a pretty simple job to do?

Same here! I had my Droid since it came out and now I was waiting for the iphone to be released in Verizon but now that I fell in love with all this, I'm really doubting ill get an iphone..

Setcpu = a must have if rooted! Running twice as fast as stock!

Droid here. Its actually very easy once you have an idea of what you're doing. Visit droidforum.net then read a couple stickys under droid hacks and youll understand it. Well worth it. I wish I would have done this a loooong time ago!
