Procede Version

Hi,

Does anyone in Toronto have the procede installed. Any problems installing or after installation? How difficult is the install? Would anyone be willing to help, i will gladly pay you?

Also should i get now or wait for V2?

Thanks,

shipping

I am thinking of it too BTW. You don't need to wait for V2. Get it now and upgrade to V2 when the additional harness becomes available.

1 thing I would like to know though, from those of you who got proceeded. How did you get it shipped to you, and did you have to pay significant duty/dealer fee/ etc. Thanks

I just ordered straight from their website. I paid over 260 for the damn thing. UPS stoked me. I know some other pay less then 200.

I might be tempted to hold off for a short time.
I've read in other forums that BMW -- perhaps seeing how much money it is losing the Vishnu foks -- will be coming out with its own factory-installed version.
Meanwhile, to those that have them: Is the extra boost worth $1,300 US price tag? It's tempting, I have to admit.

Do you mean the Dinan flash, in partnership with BMW? If it is, then gains are not expected to be as much as Vishnu. $1,300 is a lot of money but is relatively cheap when you look at exhaust and down pipe mod prices and gains you get from them. I guess you get to choose the option you are most comfortable with (AA Xede, Turbo Tuner, etc.)

Yeah, that's a killer right there! I wonder if it is a good idea to have them ship by USPS and stick a value of 20 bucks on it? Is it reckless to have this thing insured for $20?

I'm hardly an authority and I hate to spread other people's rumours but supposedly Dinan and BMW were parting company and the number mentioned -- and subsequently verified by a couple other posters with service adviser "friends" -- was in the neighbourhood of 100 hp increase.
I'm highy skeptical myself. While the engine can take it, I'm not sure the transmission or other parts could.
You are quite right that $1,300 isn't much when you think how much kids are paying to dude up their Civics.
But I was just reading about the Turbo Tuner, which, for half the money, sounds like a good way to go.

I agree the Turno Tuner is definitely a good option.

Thanks for sharing the "rumours" about BMW to potentially increase HP by 100. If any of this is true they would charge much more that $1,300 for it. If we look at price differences of the 328-335 or the 323/325 and 328, they could easily want $3K-5K for it. But, that is all speculation for now. :rocks:
