Discount on 335i

I've got a 335i sedan which I'm really enjoying (needs a LSD, but that's about it). I've got a friend who lives in the Southeastern USA and is thinking about a 335i. What are folks getting in the way of discount from MSRP? I got 2k off on mine purchased 3 months ago, and I know I could have gotten more.

How is that possible?? European Delivery??
If not I dont know how you can get that big of a discount because the difference between MSRP and Invoice should only be about $3500 or so (hard to exceed $4k)- unless they were selling below invoice.

I think you're right--when I got my coupe, the sales manger (who is a buddy of mine) showed me the invoice and MSRP pricing--it was just over 3K difference. Which is why I felt very fortunate that he split that with me.

Ja but did they mark up anything else, MF, bank fee, documentation fee. I´ve seen dealers that give great deals based on invoice but the buyer fails to look at the overall picture and pays the maximum marked up MF, bank fee, and a fairly expensive documentation fee.

Your brother didn't do bad, considering it was an E92. Since the demand is so high, hard for the dealer to give you that good of a deal...

Yes. If you can get it, take it and run.

Personally, I think I was lucky.

I got my sedan for $250 over invoice. Coupe would have been ~$800 over.

$800 over invoice for a 335 coupe is certainly attainable...if you show up at the dealership with a some Knee Pads or tube of lube...
