Kuhmo, Conti, Pirelli or Yokohoma...?

Sup Guys,

I need a new set of all season tires for my 06 330xi staggered set up. Currently I have RFT and want to purchase regular tires. In searching the forum it appears the Conti Extreme DWS seems to be the board favorite but I wanted to hear some feedback in comparison to the ones listed below. Overall i am looking for a softer ride with a good grip and strong sidewall for city driving. The following are my options. Based on my budget;

1. Kuhmo Ecsta 4X $664
2. Continental. Extreme Contact DWS $774
3. Pirelli PZero $684
4. Yokohama Advan S4 $780

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I have the Conti DWS and I really like them. Good grip and great wet traction. I got caught in one of our S. Carolina downpours the other day and I didn't have any issues. Plus, they have a really good warranty and potential for longer treadlife.

Thanks, that's the one I'm leaning towards. I'm curious how the others compare.

my only concern with non runflats is a spare/ i may order bmw mobility kit/ or a donut somewhere. But the ride qauility vs runflat is muchhhh better and totally worth it.

I had the Khumo tires you listed and disliked them greatly. They were noisy after a few months wear and didnt have the traction I desired. Of the four options you listed I would choose the DWS tires.

Awesome I guess that kinda sealed the deal.

One question, when replacing the tire is there anything Special I need to do with the tps (I'm not sure if that's exactly what it's called)?

Finally received and installed the Continental Extreme Contact DSW tires today. Holy Sh@T What a difference from RFT's. The ride is so much smoother and quiter with a firmer grip on the road. It's a major difference.

Thanks for all your feedback.

Related question, i was leaning toward the DWS but i also read that 235 40 18 is preferred tire size for 18 in wheels. I cannot seem to find the DWS in 235... anyone have an opinion if DWS is worth the smaller tire?

Thanks!
