2010 E92 (LCI) 330D Auto - averaging 35.7mpg over the first 400 miles since I picked her up last week
I'm sure it'll increase when I stop using the loud pedal so much and seems to sit in the high 40's / low 50's on motorway. |

My E92 320d 184 is currently averaging 58.8 mpg on my daily mainly motorway commute. I'm very impressed so far, my wife's 118d ED usually gets a bit more than this.

2008 e93 320i M Sport: averaging about 27.5 mpg.
Pretty crap really after being used to a Diesel engine, even for such a heavy car ... But I a loving open air motoring again and I have a motor bike if I want proper speed. Last edited by TheBlondeFella; 08-22-2013 at 06:43 AM.. |

I've just bought a 2011 E93 320d (Auto), and the signs are encouraging, though I haven't had a chance to pull any stats, but it's certainly waay less thirsty than my 3.0 TDI Q5.

Drive a E90 325 M Sport, 49k, get 29 MPG, so approx. 350m out of a tank, mixture of town and motorway miles and this is driving preety sensibly.

61 plate 320d Coupe. Over 14,500 miles (2/3 of which are motorway) I've consistently averaged 47.8mpg according to the trip. I reckon I get 55mpg on the motorway and 30-40mpg around town.

Update to my fuel economy,
I'm still driving my 2009 E91 330d M Sport Auto I've now averaged 39.3 mpg over 12500 miles. 60/40 A Roads and town driving. Pretty pleased with that considering how often I hit the loud pedal TBH |

2010 E91 318d Manual
Average of 56mpg through rush hour 50/50 mway and town driving. Easy get 60+ on mway journeys. Best was 72mpg over 200 miles of mway doing 60-75 ish all the way. |

Previous E90 ALPINA D3BT was a lifetime average of 44.8mpg...cool for the performance available.
Current E92 B3SBT is returning 28.5mpg average over the last 4,500 miles which for a 400hp auto is pretty damn impressive. A sedate (ie less hooning) cruise will easily return mid 30's.

320d M Sport giving me 40.3mpg. Mix of city and motorway driving. Purely motorway will give me 50+ mpg

2007 330i 258ps manual, economy is don't-really-care mpg :-)
(but 28.8mpg mixed driving over past 4k miles if I was really caring)

2009 E91, 320i, LCI model gets me on the average (mixed driving) 100Km for 7,8 litres of petrol. On a straight road I use the cruise controll which saves on the fuel even more. On high ways it easily drops down to 5litres for 100Km using cruise controll most of the time.
