I'd never touch an auto vogue to be honest. I've been all over Ebay. Seen a few that are wrong colour or have that awful light grey interior (don't know what that's called)

I agree with the horid interior.
I think the body kit is fibre glass aswell which is a huge turn off for me.

Seems you are right though. There are loads of manuals for sale. Just none black on black.

I don't know where the whole manual is rare thing came from as they certainly arent now. But not a hood colour variety.

The dealer that has one i'm interested in wont let it off the premises for half a day to have an inspection done at a proper indy.

Something to hide?. Should I walk from the only one in the country at the mo!??

I dont blame them not letting you take a car of thier forecourt to a random indy garage where things could be tampered with. I dont blame them one bit. I dint think youll find anyone willing to do that infact, trade or private.

Bmw will be selling it to you with a 1 year used car warranty. So anything wrong will be sorted anyway so I would worry to much.

It's not a BMW dealer. I could buy a warranty as it's under 60k.......

I don't blame them either.

If you like the car test it, you will tell if anything is wrong, and all dealers have to give 3 months warranty anyway.
Getting them to pay out is easier said than done.


Just knock £500 off and get a warrany from BMW, do it on a monthly plan, that way it never goes up when you hit 60k miles.

There is no legal requirement for a dealer to give any kind of warranty, but under the Sale of Goods Act if a fault develops within a "reasonable period" (which is generally considered to be 6 months) then it is up to the delaer to prove that the fault didn't exist when the car was sold. As this is difficult to do they generally have to cover the cost of the repair.

Going manual makes such a difference to the car, its a wonderful box! Mentioned in the top 10 manuals of all time by Evo. Even better with the Performance shifter!!

I drove an auto a while back and wasn't that blown away at all.

THEN, I drove a manual this week. IMMENSE. AWESOME. Total transformation of the car.

I've found a once Space Grey one still with original 18" MV alloys. one owner car (prob company). Serviced correctly. Obv none too 'blingey' or into modding.

I'm going armed with Plastic. Only down side......BMautosport aren't open past 2. It will need 2 new shiney pairs of shoes asap!
