LSD on AWD
I was just wondering if this is possible. Would you need two LSDs for the front and back. It'd be advantageous to have different power going to all 4 wheels instead of just front to back.
I'm just wondering about the feasibility of this. |

I believe the most feasible option would be to have the LSD in the rear and keep the front stock. I do not even know if there are aftermarket front LSDs for the xi models.

I do think that driving AWD on LSD is possible though, just not recommended. However, I have no personal experience at it.

The RWD LSD options also apply to you. The XI use the same OEM diff as the rest of us.
Your rear drive wheels do most of the work and upgrading only the rear will give you the biggest ROI in terms of performance. |

My latest mod was a Quaife LSD install (rear only), and it seriously transformed the car. I highly suggest this mod for any XI model

+1,
what did the LSD change? It's literally the last thing I can do, as I have all of the compatible m3 parts as well as a set of coilovers. I would 100% have a LSD if it was possible to make this car RWD without the wiper issues/cluster lights, but as of now I have very few traction issues and I am really trying my best to dial out the really annoying understeer the car has.
