Bye bye 320i

Well I havent had the 320i for long now, a litle over three months but its going on Monday.

I wished I had gone for a more powerful engine, and not in black as living next to a steam railway its always filthy despite cleaning it often. Plus the missus was always moaning about the heavy steering.

Must say it has been great owning an E90, apart from the few niggles its a lovely car to drive, so quiet and refined.

It was nearly a 3 door 123d but there wasn't that much in the price at the end of the day.

Don't think the Missus will be over-the-moon by the 'light' steering on the 330d!!!!! (unless they've lightened it off with newer ones). Then again I had an 08 plate 320d the other day which was light as a feather - mine felt like a barge afterwards!!!

I've drove an E92 and it had very light controls, BMW have done very well at creating a car that still has some feel though the steering wheel.

Personally I don't see why people seem to like this extremely light steering with no feel that is just numb and dangerous IMO, no need for that what so ever any one who says it's because of their build winds me right up too, as I'm very small lol and never seen the need for PAS (in any small sports car) if we are talking large coupes, E92 etc. yes I don't have a problem with PAS so long as they keep some of the weight and some of the feel, BMW have done PAS well IMO
