It's not just about horsepower, but how powerful your horses are.

Any good aftermarket tuning parts?

Hmmm so far as i have seen. Most of the parts such as intakes have been detuning the car. Is there any good aftermarket parts that would actually provide gains such as a ECU or intake

Bimmerworld has the E90 performance open differential for $1349.

Technic dyno-tested the GruppeM air intake, which showed a 7.6 max wHP and 5.4 ft-lb max-torque gain. Even more gains are expected when ECU reflashing is done to capitalize on the intake mod. They will be dyno-testing their full Supersprint exhaust shortly.

A number of other aftermarket exhaust systems are available, but to date, none have actually posted dyno test results.

Hamann makes a 3.2L big bore kit.

Evotech makes some optimistic claims about their ECU "chip," and we await their test results.

Turbocharger is in development.

Supercharger development status unknown.
