Exclamation Loss of Power Light

I have been driving around lately in my 2008 335xi with the loss of power light illuminated but have not yet taken it into the shop because I do not experience any power that has been lost. The car continues to drive normally and I cannot feel any noticeable loss of power. My battery light came on as well when I had the power on but the engine off, could the loss of power light be related to that? Please let me know if anyone else has experienced this so I may be able to fix it myself without having to deal with the dealership...

Thanks for the help,

Will

This also only happens when I accelerate hard, for instance getting up to speed on the highway, when the revs get about 3.5k to 4k

Just happened to me and I didn't plug my BT tool in, because I headed straight for the dealership. Of course, when the vehicle is restarted, it's gone. But I'm hoping the shadow fault is in there.

I went and got the codes read by advanced auto parts and no codes came up negative. Both with the light on and off. No performance issue at all nothing popped up with the code reader so I'm at a loss of what it could be.
