ummm no...mercedes had that crappy hatchback and it did ok....i don't think the 318i was anything special...probably the worst car bmw ever made....there are plenty of reasons why not....look at audi they have the small a3 wagon...they still have there flag ship 7 series 5 series M's it's not gonna hurt the image at all!!!! and as we have all seen there are plenty of 16-20 year olds on here as wel and i don't think bmw's image is tarnidhed b/c of it...i mean look at all the different models in europe as well...it's not like they just make luxery cars...they make police cars for christ's sake

I think it's funny that because we drive a car we think we are better than a guy in a Civic...
What's the difference between a cactus and a BMW? The prick is on the inside of a BMW. Come'on the topic of this tread is as childish as thinking that people are a certain class because the car they drive. |

*****ed335BMW I don't think at all that this car will bring down the "class" of BMW. I know when I am driving any car be it a POS or an expensive car I could car less what the person on the LIE next to me thinks nor do I think anything about anyone else. The car is BASE $35,675. As stated earlier not something every "ricer" is going to get their hands on. Will it happen? Sure, but I can show you pictures of an Enzo thats riced out. My point being it is going to happen to every car out there. Next year when I get the car we can meet up on a run or something and hopefully ATLEAST agree to disagree . |

I know a kid who is 25 and owns an Enzo, so you are wrong to begin with. Also its more of the ricers I would worry about than the kids...... |

In theory it sounds like a pretty cool idea, and I wouldnt mind having one. However, as far as the "driving experience" it really isnt as fun as it should be. The reviews bash the differential, saying that it holds the car back in the twisties.

GotAlottCash got mommy and daddy to buy his car. Him and his two other buddies with 335i's adds up to,
Anyways, itsbrokeagain, you'd be surprised... this forum lurks with spoiled high schoolers that mommy and daddy bought their car for them. Hence me not getting a 335i, I'm going to buy a Cayman S or a 911 if I want something more classy. The 335i is just a 3 series after all. The 1-series looks more of a racing car, I might just get one to toy with. But we'll see about that. |

Let me see...
- This board is already innundated with "my 335 vs. XXX car" racing posts - There seem to be quite a good number of very young (teen?) 335 owners here - So many 335 owners go for bling 19", 20" wheels and superwhite ring lights (hey, I'm one of the latter ) - There is more general bashing on this board than on any other I've been to (E46fanatics runs a close second, though). Tell me again, how is the release of the 135i going to change this for the worse? |

I was really disappointed with 135I.
1)It's only around 100lb lighter then a regular 335 2) It's pretty darn close to a 335 sedan's price. (It's more then predicted) 3) Compared to a 335, it's ugly 4) No double exhaust???? People might mistake it for 128I Anyway, a informative customer would choose a 'better looking' 335 over a 135, not caring about giving extra for it.....because it's worth the money |

There are already a handful of teenage asshole driving BMW. In fact there are a lot of assholes who drive BMW. Price point and income dont change who you are. It's who the person is and BMW seems to attract asshole drivers.
Personally, I believe 135i will bring more mature drivers to BMW. Most posters on 1addict are less involved with image and appearance. They are more interested on buying a more track suited vehicle or a better valued BMW, 128i. This will change of course when 1 series gain popularity. |

An informative customer would also know that the 135i weighs a hair under 200lbs less then the 335i not 100, that it comes stock with 6-pot brakes and sport suspension(though I will say no clue how it will handle against the 335i), and if you looked at some pictures of the underside of a 135i the "single" pipe is larger then the two duals on a 335i. |

So essentially you're really wonding if everyone on the forced induction forum will dump their 335i's after the leases are up and then have their parents buy them the 135i?? Last edited by F32Fleet; 11-29-2007 at 02:13 PM.. |

If you are trying to say that parents who buy their children very safe reliable cars are crazy and irresponsible then you could possibly be the most ignorant person on this forum site. I think the reason most parents, including mine, buy a BMW or any other safer, yet more expensive car is to protect their "investment." Why put your child in a unsafe car if you can afford a safer car. (I am not saying you can't get cheaper cars that are safe but generally BMW's Audi's and Mercedes' are safer than a 20k car.
