Roanoke/Blacksburg guys?
I go to Roanoke College and I seem to be seeing more and more modified bimmers around campus and up in Blacksburg when I'm at VA Tech. Mostly E36 M3s and a few E46's, but once in a while an E92 or E60. I've spoken to a few of the kids at my school, but only a few know anything about their cars.
Just wondering if there are any active members from this part of the state.. would be nice to know I'm not the only one!

I was in Blacksburg this past weekend, but I live in DC now. I've noticed a lot of E36's around VT the last two years, def a lot more then when I went there.

I just graduated last year as well. I'm in the area every month or so for business. There were a fair amount around when I was there. Not too many 335s though.

I know a dude at Radford with an e36 m3 that would probably burn you up. He knows A LOT about bmw's in general. He works at Bimmworld down there.
EDIT: and seeing that you go to Roanoke, a private college, daddy probably bought them the car which explains the lack or enthusiasm or knowledge about it IMO. Once I started paying the bills I learned all about my car. BTW I went to Hampden-Sydney so I know all about the guys with nice rides that know nothing about them, kinda sad... |

HAHA oh I have a pair, he asked why they dont know about their cars. That was the only logical thing I could think of. I agree that it doesnt matter how you got the car, but not knowing about such an amazing machine is a sin IMO.

That car is still out of price range for a typical college student! If the car isn't, maintaining one is! And I don't even remember where the nearest BMW dealer was in that area. Maybe it was all the way in Roanoke!
I graduated from VT before the 335 came out but I don't remember many late model BMW's in general there. The only one I remember off hand was Marcus Vick's new 7 series at the time. Last edited by five3three; 11-18-2011 at 07:44 AM.. |
