Well...my xmas present arrived earlier this year. Our baby daughter was born on Oct 3rd.

However.

Got told last week that my contract at work was being terminated and I was to work till 17th January. To say gut wrenching doesn't even come close, especially week before the holidays. So, Christmas presents weren't forthcoming as previous years.

Cheers I really hope so too. We were visiting family today and I just couldn't hold a conversation as always thinking about what I'm going to do. Worst was all them talking about their jobs...and how well they got paid!!

After having owned a string of BMWs (Z3 3.0, Z4 3.0 N52, Z3M S50, Z4M, 118d LCI, E46 330d (204), 130i LCI) and spending the last 18 months in a C250CDI I realised the error of my ways.

Bought myself an early present this year about a month ago:

LCI E90 335i Manual - N54 and CIC Nav

"Fully Loaded" as they say. Basically it doesnt have keyless entry, upgraded individual leather or electric folding mirrors. I'm really gutted about missing out on those.

Just bought some 261 alloys for it too.

That is a lovely motor mate cracking colour combo, interior is awesome. I viewed a 320d which was the same spec as that but a bit out of my range but the guy wouldn't come down enough on price, Settled for a 08 pre lci with lemon but no nav, Just need blacked out windows now like yours.

A proper car - a real weapon - good choice.

Best present I got was one of those radio controlled helicopters. I can now get the little bastard to hover over my wife's head with a peanut in the undercarriage and with a deft manouver, drop it on her head...whilst she's watching telly.....

I got an all expenses paid holiday to Miami for 4 days at the Fontainebleau and a new kitchen from work.

Better than last year when all I got was a punch in the face!
