Does carbon build up affect the e90 330d N57?

I've just bought one and can't find any specific information anywhere to say that it does?

Are there any preventative maintenance practices I can carry out to avoid this or anything else on the N57?

Thanks

Any diesel engine will have issues with CBU. Some more than others.

These guys should be close to you, as I am sure there are many in UK.

I saw my 320d intake cams are really clogged so I think the answer is yes same for EGR valve.
