TomTom Nav question
Hey guys... I was looking at getting a little TomTom One 3rd edition here and they say that it only has coverage for US/Canada... does anyone here know if it is possible to also put European maps into it or is this not possible due to some other restriction?

I have the GO720, and just checked for other maps to purchase using the TomTom HOME software, and it looks like you can purchase maps of countries other than US/Canada for between 40 to 50 euro
Western Europe map is avail for 50 euros

Just buy the Go 910. It's more expensive, but already has the Euro maps loaded. With the others you have to buy the Euro maps. I did this for my ED trip and it worked out great!

Yeah... if its 40-50 Euros per map it could bring the price of the smaller unit with Euromaps up significantly... not to mention the pain the ass factor. hmmm...

People probably like or at least know best what they have. I have a cheap Garmin (200W) which is lower 48 only (I bought the SD card for Europe separately). It's great. No MP3 or Bluetooth, but easy, straightforward, user-friendly navigation. I suspect that they all are much better than even just months ago.

This has pushed to wonder if I can get the Euro Maps on the internet and save them and then just push them to the unit when I need them then switch back to NA maps when I need those. Anyone know if this is the case? |

I have the Garmin NUVI 350 and love it.
I was reading that the portable GPS units are becoming the number one target of smash and grab thieves. |
