Well all the original discussions were via email.

I've just wangled it so I am now working overtime on Sunday and I still have Monday off so I've phoned up to confirm the booking and spoke to a chap called Jason.

The remap will give me 290BHP...Not the 308BHP that they kept assuring me I would get. Apparently it is possible but its there 'race' map.

I'm happier going with the 290BHP option as this seems to be a proven and reliable figure for this car.

Its booked in and I'm going midday Monday.

Yeah I've seen that site too. I've only seen reviews on a VW forum.

How long have they said it will take to do the DPF removal?

Must be. I assume you have a 330d? Pre or post LCI?

LCI is the facelifted version (circa 2009 onwards) with the revised front bumper and bonnet and the revised rear lights and rear diffuser.

I also had the aforementioned quote from More-BHP, sounds promising, as does their 330d pre-LCI test car. What more proof do you want? :P Only problem is that my car is an LCI and I was looking at the M-Flash. They flash remap the ECU through the OBD II port and this sounded ideal but they said it was not possible on LCI 330d's as the ECU is now protected from being flashed or tampered with through the OBD II port. This means us LCI lot would have to get the traditional remap at the ECU itself which they offered to do with the same outstanding performance figures. So for you pre-LCI people, the M-Flash works! As does the traditional remap...
Hope all goes well on Monday for you two! I look forward to hearing what you have to say!!

Oh, mine is pre LCI. I need to get used to this. I'm coming from Mercedes and thought I would try BMW so this is my first Bmw.

Thanks 123, I will keep you posted

Be really interesting to see your results and hear your comments after. Apart from the big power i'll be interested to hear your thoughts on the sound difference (apparantly turbo whistle increases) and the increase in MPG

Hope it goes well, try gets some sneaky pics too!

Well I've done about 300 miles so far since the remap and I can honestly say its amazing. The car is just so much more responsive. A big thanks to Jason @ more-BHP.com

Deeskibm, Good to meet you yesterday. How was your journey home? Has the DPF removal made any difference?

It's really good mate. At first it felt good at first but I gave it a hard time and now it seems like it has just opened up. I let my friend drive it and he agrees it is much more aggressive. I am completely happy

Been riding in my mates 135i alot recently, got me thinking about a BOV but from memory 330d's use a diverter valve, can anyone confirm if there is a BOV for the 330d out there?
