Out 'networking' last night with local business people. Got a little wrecked if I'm honest, late home, fragile today .
LOL, bathroom starting in 3 weeks time chap, then the fully glory of a 'digital bath' will be revealed . Layla's bedroom curently being done so house turned on it's head . Anyway, back to the main subject of this thread, yes a great place to come and vent/find out random information/share news, and always come back for more. It's a shame some of the old-school don't post so often, they really should, no point in complaining things have gone 'down-hill' when they don't try to keep things afloat. As for a meet, I see I've just been promoted to NM organiser, I'm sure Matt would be better placed however am certainly happy to do my bit if I can help. Matt & Gav did a great job of organising the last one.

I echo what others have said - this has always been a great forum.
I joined back in 2007 when I had just ordered my E93 325i - one of the very first ones delivered and like others, were sharing stories of things we were discovering, common failures (injectors, HPFP's etc.). As the years have gone by and the cars got older, there does seem to be a common trait of the same questions being asked over and over, which has made me frequent it less often. That coupled with the fact that I got rid of the M3 a year ago and defected to a different brand, and also have had another little one born, means that motivation and time seemed to diminish slightly. I do however lurk on here and often pop on in my lunch hour to have a browse around. i don't tend to post much, mainly as it might be a few days until I log on again, and once a conversation starts, it is rude to not reply back. I have been to a meet and also organised one myself, and have met some great members there. Maybe some of us older ones, should try and get back on here a bit more often? We all say no one goes on it, but if we all have that attitude, then that WILL be the case! My next car will defo be a BMW again....cant wait |

+1 i moved the 335D on 4 years ago
When i type "e90" in to google the link for the off-topic section comes straight up.... I've not met any of you bar Will (Through another forum!! ) and it's cool place round here. Lots of top characters and very helpful. And good healthy debates without it degenerating into name calling which i appreciate as i like a good debate to learn from others. |

Like many 'old timers' I don't frequent as often as I used to, but it has always been a different forum to many and I remember receiving lots of support when I was going through a difficult time with my sister losing her husband. I have also had the privilege of meeting members at the various Northern Meets that I have organised and have built valuable friendships as a result. I shall try to get on here a bit more often. (When we finally get a telephone line installed at the new house ).
What we need is one of Carlos' legendary threads to liven us up!

Ah, it's that time again. Where the old timers get together and talk about how all this used to be fields and winter tyres were just a twinkle in a marketing departments eye

This forum is great (even though I don't own a E90 anymore). I'm a member of a few other forums, but the chit chat, particularly in this off topic section is fab.
I really enjoyed the stocks and shares topic with, from memory, Nick 999, JLR1969, peterg1965 and others!

Agree totally with the OP. This is the only forum I have stuck with although I too miss some of the old regulars such as Helen and SteveA, Tony etc.
Don't frequent as much as I used to either, work has been getting in the way!, but still like to check in weekly to see whats been going on. I have got some great advice from folks on here and enjoy vicariously all of the new cars (yes, I'm talking about you Andrew!).

I've been here a long time, the forum has evolved into a different place for sure, like Alan says. But that was always going to happen as the owners shift on and the cars become older an the target audience changes. But not completely, some original members still have their cars, others another E9x and some moved on completely.
Still one of the best forums around though. With some great old & new members and some great cars also!

Is a great forum as others have said and the reason I've stayed around though not as much as I used to. However it is still a great place to find things out or get help and the response to my post has been fantastic. The number of members who have not met me before yet still donated is really touching and makes me so pleased that I joined the forum in the first place. I am on others but none as good as this eg the Mercedes one constantly disintegrates into silly arguments which makes you switch off.

I've been here for a while now Probably not recognised by many, and I feel like I don't know people here that well, but I enjoy the forum and everyone is always really helpful, unlike other forums there's no attitude (OCUK seems to be full of trolls)
It also helps that this is the best car I've ever owned, and still love it four years on Referring to the original 'What it's worth thread' I've read this and feel incredibly sorry for the OP, chris330d, and hope the replies might bring him some comfort in what must be a very difficult time, I've not replied in there as I can't really find appropriate words |
