That's odd... I don't see how a 24mo is possibly less than a 36mo. lease.. it's WAY more expensive.

its a new program with bmw.. i have a few friends who have leased the new 3 series and new 5 series for 24 months.. its less money cause the residual on the car is high. My car for example.. its 40170. after 24 month lease the residual is still 30,000. i forgot the exact figure but i know its 30k and change. My car was 540 a month with a 36 month lease. Call your dealer and ask him. If he says its more he is full of shit and wants to make more money on the deal.

Can I ask, if the acquisition fee WASN'T rolled into the lease (which is shouldn't have been as he told me I have to pay that at delivery) what would the payment be? So the numbers aren't adding up then, correct.. If I'm going to pay the acquision and 1st month at signing (as I already paid the deposit)?

Depreciation: (39785-26003)/36 = 383
Interest: (39785+26003) x 0.00195 = 128 383+128= $511 Then add taxes. Is he trying to dupe you by adding destination in there? Is the MSRP and negotiated price inclusive of Dest.?

Destination is included in the selling price as far as I know.. so the numbers aren't adding up for you either, right?

Just ask the dealer for all the numbers involved in your lease. Ask him if anything was rolled into the lease, get the exact drive off figure and have him itemize it for you.

It is easier to take in your laptop but it can be easily done on paper with a calculator, like I did two posts up.
(Buy Price - Residual Price)/months = Depreciation (Buy Price + Residual Price) x MF = Finance charge Add those two together and add tax.

Also, when I picked up my car, the deposit was credited toward the "drive off" amount.

Just to clarify for you... the Money Factor (interest) on a 325 is HIGHER than a 330 and the residual is slightly LOWER.
