Pretty impressive results from a box kit and a "first timer"! I've got a few scratches that need attention, but nothing to the extent of your vandalism. I think I'm going to find this Quixx and give it a try....

Just fyi, sandpaper WILL damage your clear coat. By varying degrees, of course, but you are taking clear coat off.
If anybody has serious scratches they need removed I would strongly suggest having the help of someone with an orbital or rotary and a good compound.
I'd consider myself a very able DIY and detailing kinda guy and I wouldn't dare touch my paint with sandpaper. That's something I'd take to a qualified professional if it really needed it.

That being said, I'm definitely careful when I park downtown. I go to Belltown(gotta love Bambinos, Zeke's and Mamma's) and other parts for lunch with work buddies and it's sketchy even during the day. I try getting my friends to drive but half the time I end up driving. I always worry something like that will happen to me.

+1 to Brocken's advice. It takes a some practice, but an decent orbital with a cutting pad + some good polish will take care of scratches like these. You also should reseal+wax your car after doing such major work otherwise that portion of your car you worked on is unprotected from the elements.

I have a PC7424 Orbital at my house and Mazerna IP Polish. You guys are more than welcome to come on over and use it if you are intent on doing any kind of correction like this to your car. None of it is hard to do - just takes patience and a little practice.
