me too. supposedly, the dynamics make it better than a cts-v even though the cts-v is ever so slightly faster. i would like to do a side by side with an m5.

Yes, all the vw engineers and plant laborers have taken over the porsche centers and killed all porsche employees...haven't they been related companies for years? I'd still buy one for sure

Considering what VW has accomplished with Lambo and Bentley, I think its impact on Porsche can only be positive, they also bought Ducatti this year, and nobody in the motorcycle community is getting their panties in a wedgy.

VW has done wonders to nurture the Audi brand in the last 5 years the model offerings have all been a huge hit and raised the bar in many niches.

BMW has been watered down I think, for lack of better words, they have some great models, with the 3 the foundation of the performance niche, but many its recent offerings are more geared to luxury than performance, unless you like the M. Would you buy a X6?

My appreciation of all things BMW took a turn for the worse with my test driving of many Mini S Coopers in May. I came away feeling they were cheap, handled so so overall, the motor is a bore, and if it didnt have the unique looks, a overpriced yuppie mobile. The VW Golf/GTI blows it away on all levels. When I drove a 2009 GTI, it was as close to German perfection for a small car as it gets IMO.

I like the MB AMG offerings, they are fun to drive and refined and polished more than a BMW to me.

The new 528i with a 4 banger turbo is a bad joke.

i can agree with pretty much everything here except the mini cuz i've never had the desire to get in one and find out. it's fun to talk shit about vw snagging porsche though.

i also like amg offerings but they're slightly lacking in exterior styling. the lack of a "4matic" option hurts for daily midwest driver. fun for sure though.

i still like some bmw's but def not all of them. i use to love them all.

the exhaust I was looking at is from europe, and with the euro tanking, the price has dropped from $4650 to $4200 since I started looking. Hold off and see if it goes cheaper or just buy now?

Any of guys running st coilovers or any experience with them? I'm about to pull the trigger and get them installed next week. I do not drive the car in winter so that is kind or why I'm leaning towards these over kw v1s.

This exhaust will work with any 700 hp kit and its considered the best sounding. I am going to hold off on major modifications until I get closure to the end of the warranty.

Heck, i just reset the ECU and picked up 2 more psi across the board, definitely noticable. The car must have been driven by a grama and had the learning very low.

I have the ST coilovers and had them for about 6 months now, without a single issue. It's a nice set overall and handles better than the OEM suspension. Overall it gives it a nice 'sportier' feel and I am lowered a good amount. I don't drive it in the winter so don't have worries regarding corosion from salt. I say go for them, as you mentioned this is your summer only car.

most exhaust run $3k to $4k. This is on the more expensive end of the range, but the concensus is its the best. It was running north of $6k when it came out with the exchange rate.

it all depends on what your looking to do with that setup, are you just looking for a all around street setup?
