I still love this plate mount. Had it on my car for some months now...maybe close to a year almost and the mesh is perfect and there are no marks at all on the bumper from the silicone bump stops I stuck on the back of the plate.
Just don't like that I have to take the plate off every time I take it to the wash because the guys are not careful and bend the plate down with the dumbass sponge, potentially damaging the mesh since everything is stiff and won't bend when fully installed. |

Not sure which one, sorry... I get them in home depot... they are cheap enough to buy multiple sizes and try them out... The critical thing is to fit the butterfly in the collapse position into the hexagonal plastic grille. The bolt length is not critical at all.
Put washer on the other end and that is it... clean, cheap, no special tools and sturdy enough for highway speed with no problem. e. |

One other thing I may do however is spray paint the plate adapter black seeing how people complain that it eventually rusts. Last edited by 3002 tii; 05-24-2012 at 11:32 PM.. |

Yes I did the same concern with you regarding the mark on the bumper, but I brought some EPDM rubber/foam gasket made for sealing the exterior window. Find the one that came with self adhesive glue on the back, stick it on the back of the plate and that should take care of the bumper marking.

I wanted to share with you the less than $10 solution to mounting your license plates without drilling holes in your front bumper, as already mentioned in this thread using the Bell bracket on my front mesh, which I have been using for two years, now.
I can keep it on through a laser wash, but I have to unscrew the front plate (two bottom screws, big deal) if I have to go through a soft touch drive-thru... This is how it looks up close: This is how it looks in public: This is how it held up at Summit Point:

Did you have to remove anything to get this on? Bought mine today but it's too cold to mess with it
