Trunk won't unlock

I feel like there may be something very obvious that I'm missing, but I can't get my trunk to open. The key fob wont work, the button under my dash wont work, I don't have split folding seats, and there's no place for a key on the outside. Any idea what the problem could be? I looked in my fuse box, but I couldnt tell from the card what fuse my be the trunk actuator.

With both doors unlocked, if you press the button between the license plate lights, nothing?

make sure the trunk switch in the glove box is unlocked

trunk switch in the glovebox. I knew I was missing something. Thanks, that did it! I probably would have found it in my manual, but it happened to be locked in the trunk that I couldnt open...

There should be a keyhole to put the little metal slide out key into on your trunk. check under the BMW logo to the right.

You can see the keyhole under the BMW logo all the way to the right by the taillight and just to the top right of the edge of the plate:

but in his case he needs some serious

! like what the others have said, lock button in the glove box. if not, take it to the dealer.

I actually took my car to the dealer.

That morning I was exploring stuff... checked out the glovebox... and said hmm.. that this trunk switch - maybe something to do with the valet key substitute (since now there is no valet key anymore). Then totally forgot about it...

In the afternoon... went to work (weekend overtime)... and trunk wouldn't open... I was like damn.. I hear that humming sound but it refuses to open.

Needless to say, I felt pretty stupid when the guy who approached when I pulled into the bay say... is that glovebox switch turned on.

Well, I'm glad I could be a source of entertainment for everyone! Oh, and I did find the keyhole too. I had no idea it was there...

That glovebox is full of stuff

There a USB port in there I just discovered today, a trunk button, a flashlight holder...I wonder what other things it hides
