Used some tools from the shop to cut it, sent to the paint department and a buddy of mine gave it a clear coat .

you have access to carbon fiber and the machines to shape it and all you made was a flat plate frame? jk

 When I had my mustang I did a CAI tube out of carbon fiber too  The thing is that it is very time consuming to do the first part. If the part you want to make is not flat, you have to create a tool/mold of the that part first and that's a lot of work to just make one part and not use it anymore.

Thanks guys. here are some shots..
By the way, have you guys used Mothers Synthetic Wax? It is great and the easiest to apply/remove. Only one coat and it shines..

nice clean job! so lucky you have access to cf and the equipment to mold/cut/cure/clear/etc everything!! I made a cf splitter sheet once and damn that shit was time consuming and difficult... especially when doing it in a garage with no equipment hahah
just fyi, next time you make more cf stuff, try to keep the weave clean and diagonal. right now the "diagonal weave" ended up going vertical so it's sorta awkward looking.
