Angry Muffler Delete >:(

sup guys, i had my bimmer for 2 months and wanted a muffler delete for a while so i went muffler delete hunting today, went to some place called elite auto works and they quoted me over $500!! then i went to midas and they quoted me $400! this isn't a ferrari I'm doing it too, just a freaking 328i! i don't get it, i see posts on here from people saying they got their delete done with provided tips from the shop in the $100-$200 range, how? where can i go to get a deal like that cause i feel like I'm being ripped off and paying wayyyyyy too much for a delete, its only two 90 degree turns and bam a dual tip, where the hell do they get $400-500 from?! its amazing how just cause its a bmw it has to be overpriced right? I'm honestly so pissed cause i wasted 4 hours of my day today driving back and forward to be quoted BS twice. to the guys who had deletes done, where did you go? cause i feel like I'm being bullied here with this ridiculous made up prices, not fair at all.

or am i over reacting and 400-500 is the normal price? I'm confused and mad. -__-

sounds like they applied the BMW tax to the cost.

At least that what it feels like when they ask what kind of car I have...

he told me at first they could reuse my tips but then he brought me to the garage and showed me that they couldn't use my tips cause they were welded into the muffler, so basically its 2 90 degree turns and instead of having a dual tip i would have only one.

Dude, you don't bring exhaust work to a auto repair shop. You bring it to a legit muffler shop. Should cost $40-$100 max.
