I setup my software to work with E89 files for my E92.

What's the procedure for being able to read/code other chassis too (ie. E39/E46/E60)? Do I just copy the IPO files from the downloaded SPDaten folder into \NCSExper\SGDAT\E39 + Daten files into \NCSEXPER\DATEN\E39 + PRG files into \EDIABAS\Ecu\E39 or is there something more to this?

I also write how to recode module to reset it and bring to default settings. You need to use EXPERTMODUS to do it, the profiles are included there.

I know this is for brakeforce but give it a try anyway
I have had a similar issue when coding another car a while ago

I just tried this, and unfortunately the errors STILL persist, I have attached my updated file.

Any other ideas/things I can try?

Junction Box Replacement - Is Coding Required?

Hi,

I have been having difficulty getting my rear sunblind retrofit to work (turning from a simple PnP to a complex project). I checked all the hardware, rear sunblind motor, wiring harness etc. and all seems to work properly when plugged to a 12V battery.

Of course when I plug the pin-contacts of the wiring harness to PIN3 & PIN30 into the junction box and press the sunblind button on the center console switch panel nothing happens (A friend of mine did code the car for me, by adding the VO $415 to the appropriate modules; I am hoping he didn't miss anything).

I looked at the fuse box and noticed that I don't have any mentioning of the sunblind fuse/slot. A friend of mine checked his and said its SLOT 63 (I have fuse there).

So this lead me to believe and with the assumption that the coding is done correctly, it might be my car is not capable to be retrofitted with a rear sunblind (as stupid as it sounds and my manufacture date is Jan 2009).

SO MY QUESTION IF I BUY JUNCTION BOX THAT HAD THE SUNBLIND OPTION AND REPLACE THE ONE I HAVE DO I NEED TO CODE THE CAR OR IS IT A DIRECT SWAP (Plug N Play kinda thing).

Its getting frustrating coz this should have been a very simple retrofit project and I cant find any literature or someone running into the same issue I have been.

Any feedback, guidance, ideas are greatly appreciated

Thank you

RB

Is there any real reason to stick with K DCAN + NCS with BMWhat out there?

I just bought an E61 and now since I have two bimmers I figure I might as well start doing my coding myself.
