Good luck, and please let us know how it goes. I'm especially interested in learning anything related to better launching techniques.

Looks cool.

I am still thinking about my methanol, but have to do something in order to fight cbu and clean intake.

Yea, but the intent is to get to the 60-65% meth content in hopes of picking up power.

Nice looking setup. Interesting comment, curious what the significance is to that meth %?

Domestic diesels make very good power with a 60-65% meth ratio. I'm going out on a limb thinking this little m57 will respond in a similar manner. We shall see.

Obviously, it depends on volume injected, non injected AFR, etc. Depending on conditions, we've seen folks run as much as 1000cc/min of 100% methanol. That's an extreme and has no bearing on your setup. Other side is the tried and true 50/50. Lots of data around the percentage you are targeting. If you don't go crazy with the diesel to meth ratio, I'll bet you get some very satifying results.

Good Luck. Looking forward to seeing if the better distribution lets you push it further.

We've been using snow's 50/50mix & 1000cc nozzle with great results

Are those mounted close enough top the plenum to spray into it? Seems to me you would want them to spray into the short runners if you're looking for power. I guess it will get there either way, though you might get a lot of water sticking to the walls when the short runners open.

It's all going to the same combustion chamber. I don't see why it'd make any difference at all.

When the short runners are open the amount of air going through the long runners is going to be significantly reduced from the moment before they were open. I'd have to do a cfd analysis of the intake but if the amount of air going through the long runners is too low you would get water/meth getting stuck on the intake runner rather than getting into the combustion chamber. You need an adequate amount of air going through the runner to absorb all the air and I'm not sure there would be once the swirl flaps are open.

OK, now we're talkin'. At 65% that should get exciting. Now my interest is really peaked.
