Steering Wheel Shake Help!
Just bought some new wheels and put them on my car.
i used the same tires because the 335 wheels i had on my car were 18's. I got my car alligned from the dealer and tires installed and balanced from belle tire. Since ive had the wheels on i noticed my steering wheel to be shaking a little when driving around 40+ mph. i bought my wheels brand new off ebay and they were replicas of the m6's any suggestions? i did go back to belle tire to have them balance the wheels again and they did it for free but still dealing with the same issue. thanks |

One possible cause of vibrations in a car's wheel is an uneven tightening of the rotors. In that case, you should get yourself to a mechanic who knows how to tighten in a star pattern [source: Distad]. This is an elementary concept that any mechanic worth his or her salt should know. Most will also have a torque stick to measure the tightness of the seal. Keep in mind that every car has its own standard torque specifications, which are generally printed on the rotor itself.
Thanks, Japanese used car auction |

one of my friends bought his wheels for e90 on ebay, after he installed them with brand new tires after 60km/h it started to vibrate his steering wheel. It turns out even though the rim was brand new, one of it was bent, so i would check if the rims is bent

check my thread below. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=726425 1. one reason is thrust arm bushings. 2. hub centric-lug centric rims. In my case, it seems to be reason 1. i will fix it in a while. |
