A/W E92 335i Mod Process

SO, I HAVE FINALLY FOUND MY WAY BACK TO THE BEST MAKE. I PURCHASED A 2006 325I BACK IN 2007, GOT RID OF IT IN MID 2009. THEN PICKED UP A VW CC.

IT HAS TAKEN ME 5 YEARS TO REALIZE THAT THERE REALLY IS JUST NO OTHER WAY TO GO BESIDES *BMW*

NEW PURCHASE: 2008 ALPINE WHITE 335I COUPE

CURRENT (QUICK & EASY) MODS:

- 15MM SPACERS FRONT OEM WHEELS/18MM SPACERS REAR OEM WHEELS
- MATTE BLACK KIDNEY/LOWER GRILLES
- 7000K YELLOW AFTERMARKET FOG BULBS
- BLACK TRIM AROUND WINDOWS
- 35% TINT ALL WINDOWS
- DEBADGED TRUNK
- K&N HIGH PERFORMANCE AIR FILTER
- SMOKED SIDE MARKERS

NEAR FUTURE MODS:

- KW COILOVERS
- BBS GT4 WHEELS 19X8.5 FRONT 19X10 REAR
- M" FRONT BUMPER
- CSL TRUNK SPOILER
- BUMPER W/ CARBON FIBER DIFFUSER PACKAGE
- ROLL REAR FENDERS

(OPEN TO ALL SUGGESTIONS/ADVICE & OPINIONS. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY GOOD SHOPS IN THE ORANGE COUNTY,CA. AREA OR INTERNET THAT MIGHT CARRY MY 'NEAR FUTURE MODS AT A GREAT PRICE. I AM ALSO INTERESTED IN REPLICA BBS GT4 WHEELS, AS FOR RECENTLY IVE SEEN A FEW VERY DECENT PAIRS)

MUCH APPRECIATED!_ LOOKING FORWARD TO A QUICK MOD PROCESS

I'd say do not 'smoke' the side markers. paint them body colored. also, a 7000k bulb is not even close to yellow in color - it's quite blue. you want a 3000k color to be in the yellow range.

I found a shop near home by the name of EUROPEAN AUTO SOURCE. My OEM side markers were a nasty yellow once i picked it up from the dealer and this is all that EAS had on hand. Looking into color matching though.

As for the FOG BULBS, they are actually GP THUNDER 3500K GOLD. My mistake.

Thanks though!

Congrats! Nice ride. Few simple mods really make the car look alot better. If your not thinking of doing full led AE, you can't go wrong with $15 bulbs. Gp thunder ftw. Lux isn't worth it IMO and if you want lux, just spend another 250$ and get full rings

Congrats on the ride! EAS is great for everything, especially if you're in the YL area. LTMW in El Monte is also a great shop for custom work. Look them up. Many people in our area frequent those two shops. Best of luck!

So, slowly but surely I am seeing some progression in my new car. Today I did the following to my 2008 335i:

- Paint Matched Side Markers
- Trunk Paint Matched Spoiler
- Black Chrome Exhaust Tips ( Until I mod full exhaust. Not too sure if I'm feelin' this though )
- ESM GUN METAL BBS LM REPS 19"X8.5" +35 Front 19"X9.5" +40 (Have not mounted these yet due to NO TIRES) *Please let me know what size tires i should get for this staggered fitment. I want somewhat of a stretch to the tires but nothing too aggressive.

- Installing Angel iBright V4.5's tomorrow

Thanks!

looks good!

if you're gonna run your fogs with parking lights on, consider having your blinkers coded out... looks much better

Code out blinkers? Elaborate please... And are your referring to the headlight blinkers, or sidemarkers?

Thanks!

the headlight blinkers... when you have your parking lights on, there's that amber bulb that stays on (blinker light)

if you have it coded, it will stay off so it's just your angel eyes and fog lights... then it will only be used if you put your blinker on

i had it done on my 2010 and it looked soooo much better (i did the parking lights with fogs as well)

Okay I figured it out. Makes a huge difference! This is all done by coding through a computer?

Thanks!

yeah if you go into your local forum, i'm sure you can find someone to do it for you

you should also check out some other options with coding.. there's a lot of cool things you can do
