335i E90 & M3 E90 Control Arm Compatability

I have a question. I have read on this forum that it is better to replace the lower control arms (mine need bushings now) with M3 lower control arms rather than just replacing the bushings as the M3 part includes the ball bearing that is also wearing out over time. This sounds great, but my BMW dealer can't tell me if they are compatible on my '08 335i.

'08 335i E90 left lower control arm is PN 31102283575
'08 M3 E90 left lower control arm is PN 31126769797

Can someone tell me if they are compatible?

Thanks,

John Kjos (in Scottsdale, AZ)

I have a saying which is never spend another man's wallet, but you can get TRW control arms(manufacturer of the M3 control arms) with the M logo filed off for less money. You could also buy the ones with the M logo still on it for more money if that tickles your fancy even though it is the exact same part. I purchased mine as a kit from ECS Tuning last month. They sell both the TRW and Genuine BMW kit.

I'm gonna have to second the TRW arms from Offset Motors. It's a complete kit that you know is gonna fit

Another vote for the TRW arms. I went with BMW M3 arms but if I did it again I'd definitely go with the TRW ones. Exact same thing with the M logo removed.

I had the M3 arms the first time I needed new ones. The next time around the ones with the M filed off were out so I got those. Exact same.
