Quick question

My pops has a 2010 e90 328 - he asked me if I know if the hood has that insulation cover underneath and told him I'd ask the forum members - he said his isn't there which I thought was weird

Newer E90s don't come with hood insulation. I believe they stopped putting it in in 09 and up models.

Do you know why? Heat issue? Sound issue? Mine doesnt fit properly but I never took it out. I figure it cant hurt to keep the paint cooler by having it.

cost cutting measures during lci release. aside from the hood liner the cig lighter and cover, nets behind seats, plastic valet key and fob in glove box are some of the other things removed.

coincidentally, the base msrp was also increased.

09 LCIs still had them. They were removed along with the rear seat nets, cargo hooks, ashtray cover etc on the '10s to save production costs as MooseCaboose described.
