Red, White or Blue?

I am preparing to buy a 328xi sedan in the next few months.

Here is my take on my top 3 color choices:

Crimson Red - Wow! so sharp...but is it too much?
Montego Blue - Beautiful, eye catching blue...but again, too much?
Alpine White - Classy and stylish...but safe and predictable.

HELP ME PLEASE!

If you're a guy...get AW, Monaco or Black.

montego. too many white cars out there, red gets annoying after a while, blue is a really nice color on these cars.

White is a little played out and boring. Montego is beautiful and dynamic. Red is also really nice, but a magnet for 5-0 attention...

Here is my take on the color subject.

I REALLY like red, but for some reason, the Crimson red doesn't do it for me on the 3 series coupe. I have to say that I am not really wild about ANY of the 3 series colors. ( I would have loved, Imola or Indianapolis red) The Montego blue actually has about as much pizazz as any color available. So other than Crimson or Montego, you are left with some boring colors. How many shades of silver and gray do you really have to have for one car? BTW, I went with Sapphire black. Boring, but when the sun hits it it sparkles. Plus I picked the Coral red interior to jazz it up somewhat.<flame suit on>

ALPINE WHITE! I know people think AW is boring but personally for me, you have to see how the color looks on the car. You have to go to the dealer, sit there and compare the colors on the car you'll be purchasing. I did that and IMHO AW looked best on the 335. It's classy and will look good over time. Montego Blue and red will fade out over time and not look as new as AW. So here...that's my arguement for AW.

Funny you started a thread on this. I went through the exact dilemma last week when I ordered mine.

I really wanted a red car and was almost dead set on it but then when I saw in person, I didnt feel the lines of the sedan leant itself to the red that well. I think the A4 looks amazing in red and thats what I had hoped for the BMW. Then I saw the blue and I hadnt had a blue car since 93. Debated on that for a while. Then my salesperson showed me his 330i in AW and then I felt totally perplexed.

Take a look here http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1612 at all the photos of the colors and then decide yourself. Im the same age and ended up going with the white. I think it just looks so classy and beautiful. After all the said and done, you have to pick the color that gets you feeling emotional every time you walk to your car.

Go for Alpine White. I love white BMWs. I have a white M3 and 335i. I think the lines, the features of the car are so much more prominent in white. You can really appreciate the design of the car, and if you have an aero kit, it looks so much better. That's just my 2 cents.

Agree....none of the 3 series BMW colors for '07 really turn me on. As a result...it took some time to sort through what was available to find something that works.

BMW needs to pay more attention to paint that matches up well with its body styles. Audi and MB and Lexus seem to do a great job here.

I agree that White is handsome. I'm just not a light colored car guy...otherwise it would have been a serious candidate.

Enjoy!!

Sparkling Graphite...a darker color that shows the body lines.

imho, this car looks great in pretty much all of the colors, but maybe that's just because i love the car

if i had more time and more money, i would have ordered the coupe in montego but i also saw (and liked) 3's in red, white, and what i got (because it was a deal on the lot): sparkling graphite.

flip a coin; you can't go wrong

Go see the colors IRL, it's worth even a longer drive to the dealer that can show them to you. Only then you'll be able to make a decision - photos lie!

AW: beautiful color, much better in person than in pics, my car color

CR: very flashy and sporty, not many around here, it's a special color.

MB: amazing, beautiful, also sporty, has the best average among these 3 colors

i own an alpine white coupe. i though the new bmw's would look horrible in red til i saw a red e90 sedan on the road not too long ago. it looked great actually. slap some dark tint on there, and it's even better looking. so consider the red.

but my biased vote is still with white.

Jet black looks the best, but out of your choices, I would go with the AW. Very clean looking....
