320d software on 318d

Ok this has prob been covered but search didnt throw anything up,

If you happen to know someone who could......
could you try installing the bmw 320d software onto a 318d?

I believe some mini owners working at bmw were installing cooper software to their mini ones?

Just a thought but im sure bmw have software that doesnt allow this, same engine though right?

x18d remapped is better than a x20d, power delivery and throttle response

of course x20d remapped it a different story
