Unhappy SSTT- Not feeling it

I have a just purchased and installed a SSTT and a HKS BOV. On an otherwise stock 335i coupe with AT (ead). The BOV sounds great, but i am not feeling the power increase that I thought i would. I do not have any access to a dyno, so i am wondering if the is anyway to see if the SSTT is making a difference (in the maintenance menu). If there is any other info that would help please advise. Thanks in advance.

SSTT can take a little while to adapt.... give it a couple days. It will not be a huge increase in power, but you should definitely be able to notice a difference.

are you sure you properly "adapted" the ECU after installation?

Just to make sure, d/c the battery in the trunk, install the SSTT, and go out on a "spirited" drive...that should fix the problem.

I keep getting the "adapt" what is the easiest to adapt the SSTT. Also if it is not responding should i remove the tuner, plug it back in (to stock)then disco the battery and reinstall the SSTT? -Thanks guys

Just drive the car with the throttle pressed open all the way for a couple of times on the highway...Do two or three runs like this and it should already pretty much adapt...Basically drive the hard for at least 50 miles or so, it should be well adapted...no need to take off battery

Its hard to tell the power right off the bat, but if you take the SSTT off and drive it. You defitnily feel the cars weaker/slower...

Alright try this then, if the car is cool, pop the hood and lock the car. wait 30 seconds

d/c the SSTT

go out and drive around and see if you feel a difference, if not, then come back, pop the hood and lock the car. d/c the battery to be on the safe side.

you might want to wait until it cools down a bit, so you don't burn your hand.

go and install the SSTT...

reconnect the battery, and take it out a spirited drive, i.e. WOT several times....10mins of driving should do the adaptation...

I drove an SSTT car, it feels like stock when you give it 1/2 gas, and if you floor it you can DEFINITELY feel a difference. It does tend to kinda drop off at high RPM's though, most of the extra power was in the mid-range IMO.

Just installed the SSTT in my 2009 335xi yesterday and it's like a different car. There is no way you could miss the acceleration increase from stock.

Mine's a manual, so I put it in second gear and stomp on it -- pushed nicely back into seat.
