Finally the pics are out!

Sadly the headlights looks very ugly. I like the angel eyes, no need to upgrade anymore to HIDs.

I guess I will be getting this when I order it around April, hopefully the M-Package will look good and nicer rims! I like the 193M but the 313M looks nicer.

No, why would it? The 335i didn't, so why would the lesser model get more hp? It wouldn't make sense.

ME!

I'm actually shocked that the 328i didn't get any sort of engine enhancement, be it 240hp or 252hp(330i) or even 272hp(One can dream...)

I wished they would've done SOMETHING to the 328i...I really don't know why they didn't..

exactly, its the 335iS. Its a different model altogether, and judging by some of the power hungry consumers in the U.S.,they plan on milking that cash cow...

for bmw it wouldnt make sense having a 328iS. if you'd like a coupe with a decent amount of power - 328i, something higher up but yet not hitting top end - 335i, money no object and for the power hungry folk - 335iS. I'm thinking its the U.S. equivalent of the 330i.

I think they are trying to segregate the different models and dont want the sales of the 328i eating into the 335i..

I'm not expert and its just my opinion.

If I was in the states and wanted my way, i'd just like BMW to bring back the 330i...

The bean counters probably told the executives that the 328i sells enough units with its current configuration that it'd be cost-prohibitive to change it until the F30.

I think the car has lost it's aggressiveness and sleekness when viewed from the front. The head lights are too big and so are the dumbo mirrors. The only decent thing about the change is the rear bumper. No thanks...I'll pass on this one.

I ordered a 2010 because I was afrraid they were going to muck up the front end with the LCI, and I am soooo glad I did! The front bumper has more of a point to it (maybe another ped-safety reg requirement like the mirrors were?), and I really dislike the eyebrows on the new headlights (which is why I had ordered the 2010). The rest of it looks ok to me, but I am very pleased to have my 2010 model!

I really like the LCI e92 but I look forward to the new M Sport version which should be a lot more aggressive.

What I don't understand is why BMW decided to introduce this N55 engine for 335i and keep the N54 (with some upgrades) for the upcoming 335is. Does anyone else think of this as a strange approach?

Is E90 (2011 model) going to get the new engine (N55) as well?
My SA told me that N55 engine would be implmented on all 335 models (E90 / 91 / 92 and 93).

Rumors say that these upgrades are only for the e92/e93 but I highly doubt that...

Generally speaking, as much testing as you do it still never the same as the real world testing. My guess is the n54 has already been road tested for the past 3+ years so it's less of a risk to tune that one. Just like the N54 itself is based on the M54 engine and not the newer ones found in NA E9x cars. M54 was a solid unit, tested by the real world so they chose to build upon that.
