335rocks, great day for a E93, was the sound system any good ?

I'm glad everything went so smoothly and happy that the bookings are being made for as early as possible too. For those of you still waiting, I'm doing everything I can to get the unit here as fast as possible and will get you booked in asap.

Does anyone know the reason for the Pre and Post March 09 Coupe difference in Apline Kit. Its only £6 different so can't be much. Is it the trim or the cabling?

From the part numbers, I believe that the wiring is different, but the Amp, tweeters and mid-range loudspeaker appear to be the same in both packages, although it is better to buy the package that is recommended for your vehicle in case there are differences that are not indicated. Post March 09 Alpine Hi Fi's need to be coded to work with the vehicle, where as pre March 09 kits do not.

Thanks Anneka. I've got a chance to buy a set that someone bought new but never had fitted but maybe I should avoid as my car is an 08 and whilst he doesn't remember being told there were two, he probably gave a reg number and they got it from that

I was going to ask if you could arrange fitment. Don't suppose that wire could be swapped out could it?

Just had mine fitted and while i can say it is a big improvement from the standard set up, this should have been in as standard on the 335.

I think the tweeters are spot on however the base is now overtaken by the tweeters think i need a sub upgrade now...

Overall very pleased with the Alpine Kit... Thanks Anneka for sorting it all out and your help with the car when booked in!

Unhappy

Very disappointed. Took the car in to High Wycombe but it seems some part is missing for the upgrade. It "might" be ready tomorrow or might have to take it in again. Poor show all round.

Oh no, I'm so sorry, I checked each package myself perhaps I made a mistake. Do you know if it was a wrong trim or something missing from the Alpine kit?

Yes you are too late, I asked that question earlier in the week because I missed the boat as well.
Maybe if there are enough of us, they will run it again!!!

wezzie, this group buy is now closed however if demand dictates, I am happy to consider running a similar offer again in the future.

Not swapped but you could go to a dealer and ask them (or us) to order you the correct parts to replace the wiring (you can normally order parts from within a kit seperately).

Good news - alpine upgrade fitted

Bad news - rear speakers don't work now!

High Wycombe are going to have to ring technical services on Monday to decide what to do next. In the meantime having to make do with a 318d, missing the power of my 330d.

Anyone got any ideas for a sub upgrade which will be supported by the alpine kit?

Got my Alpine kit installed last week and very pleased with the upgrade a massive improvement over the standard system and now I can finally enjoy the music at high volume. Like a lot of people who've had the upgrade maybe a sub upgrade will probably next for me

Just wanted to also give a massive thumbs up for Anneka for sorting this group buy out and providing me with excellent customer service to get me booked in quickly, she has been a pleasure to deal with!
