Need help with E92 centre console part number

Hi everyone,

I have bought a CIC system for my 2008 E92 coupe and the last part I need is the centre console that fits the new CIC iDrive. However, my current trim is walnut and as there are two types of walnut available, I am not sure which one is mine. BMW is not being helpful and the part department couldnt confirm which walnut I have.

Apparently they are two types: 1. Poplar Grain, natural and 2. Burr Walnut

I have attached the photo of the my vehicle's trim.

The car is UK spec.

I would be grateful if someone could tell me what is the name of the trim I have and possibly tell me the part number for the center console for new CIC idrive with correct trim.

Thanks

Well according to the part number of my 09' trim I have burr walnut, but it sure doesn't look like yours...

Easiest thing to do is take off a piece of trim that is EZ to remove - such as door trim, and report back here what the part number is that you will find molded into the backside.

You will find with trim that the part number on it will not be the full part number (not 11 digits) that you would use to look up online - but that's ok, I know what the prefix will be.

The number on your trim will tell us what type wood it is...
